Transitions

Generational wealth rarely fails at the first generation. It fails at the handoff — the moment assets, decisions, and knowledge move from one person to the next without a plan for any of the three.
The documents matter, but they’re not the whole handoff. The next generation also needs to understand why the money is invested the way it is, not just that it is. A torch that’s only passed, not explained, tends to go out.
